University Boulevard/Cherry Creek Drive North Traffic Signal

Hartwig & Associates is preparing plans for the replacement of the signal at this intersection as part of the rehabilitation work on the Cherry Creek Bridge deck. Hartwig & Associates is also preparing plans for the removal of the island and modification of the curb return and inlet on the northeast corner of the intersection, and striping plans for University through the bridge rehab work zone.

I-70 Viaduct Rehabilitation

Hartwig & Associates completed the final design and construction documents for the signing and striping improvements and the construction traffic control for the I-70 Viaduct Bridge rehabilitation project from Brighton Boulevard to just west of Colorado Boulevard.

West Corridor Traffic Control Plans

Hartwig & Associates prepared phasing and traffic control plans for the Sheridan bridge construction over Lakewood Gulch and the Federal bridge replacement over the West Corridor Light Rail Transit. This work was performed as a subconsultant to David Evans & Associates. The plans include phasing, work zone traffic control, detour plans, and overall advance signing for the work areas.

14th Street Reconstruction, Traffic Signal Assessment

Hartwig & Associates inventoried signal equipment along 14th Street from Court Street to Market Street. Based on the condition and location of the existing equipment with respect to current visibility, structural and aesthetic standards, recommendations were made regarding replacement needs and priorities, and constructability issues were documented. An assessment was also made of requiremetns for left turn lanes along 14th Street within the same segment of the street.
